Life with Cancer
 Donna was diagnosed with a
				grade 2 oligodendroglioma
				brain tumor
and underwent 6 weeks of radiation as well as
				taking seizure medication.
The spots shrank from 6mm to 3mm. Her life and spirit were renewed.
For the next 10 years or so all she had to do were scans to make sure
there was no change. During this time, I think I saw a whole new Donna.
She was given a second chance at life and took advantage of it, doing what she
may have missed, such as seeing her young nieces grow up, marrying a great
guy and starting her own business. Despite what she had been through,
she was happy. Her powerful laugh could be heard above all others. She inspired
those around her. But the spots reappeared. This time they were not as kind.
Her life was now managed by medication that slowly took the life out of her. It was sad
to see someone so happy and in charge of their life now just sitting at home. All of
this can be read on Donna’s Facebook Page. Even through this she would still have
a smile on her face when you saw her. Whatever life threw at her, she always made the best
of it. When she lost her hair she crocheted hats to wear, or helped others feel better by telling
				her story.
